Functional, Well-Planned Kitchens — Renovated the Right Way

Kitchen Renovation

A kitchen renovation is one of the most technically involved renovations in a home. Cabinetry, appliances, plumbing, electrics, ventilation, lighting, flooring, and finishes must all align precisely — often within a tight space where millimetres matter.

At Murami Consulting, we specialise in full kitchen renovations in the Netherlands, managing all renovation works around your kitchen from start to finish. We focus on execution, working from a clearly defined layout and scope to deliver a smooth process, transparent costs, and a high-quality result.

Murami Consulting handles the construction and technical preparation required for a complete kitchen renovation, including demolition, plumbing, electrics, ventilation, walls, ceilings, floors and finishing. We work from final kitchen-supplier drawings; kitchen units, appliances and design are normally ordered by the client unless expressly included in our quotation. Kitchen renovation work takes 2–4 weeks, depending on layout changes and coordination with kitchen delivery. You receive one coordinated in-house team and a fixed quotation for the agreed scope.

What our customers say on Facebook

Hear from happy clients who’ve experienced our top-notch house renovations. These reviews reflect our dedication to delivering excellent plumbing updates, electrical updates, and more.

A Successful Kitchen Renovation Starts with Clarity

Every successful kitchen renovation starts with clarity.

Not just clarity for us as contractors — but clarity for you as a homeowner as well.
Before any work begins, it’s important that we all share the same understanding of:

  • How the kitchen will be laid out
  • Where cabinets, tall units, and appliances will be positioned
  • How details such as finishes, lighting, and connections should function

We’re happy to review and validate an existing kitchen layout, discuss technical feasibility, and advise on execution — but we don’t design kitchen layouts ourselves. We work from defined plans to ensure accuracy, reliability, and a smooth renovation process.

The clearer the plan upfront, the fewer assumptions during construction — and the more predictable the outcome.

We Renovate, You Design

To prepare a clear and fixed quote, the final kitchen layout must be defined first.

This includes:

  • Position of all cabinets and tall units
  • Appliance locations (oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, extractor)
  • Plumbing points (sink, dishwasher, boiling-water taps)
  • Electrical points (sockets, appliance feeds, lighting)
  • Ventilation routes and extractor position

Important to note:

  • We do not design kitchen layouts
  • We do not manufacture or supply kitchens

Our role is to take the approved kitchen plan and execute all renovation works around it, ensuring services and finishes are prepared exactly as required.

Finishes & Details

Kitchen renovations are highly detail-driven. Choices around layout complexity, finishes, and appliances directly impact labour time and overall cost.

That’s why it’s important to clarify:

  • Kitchen type (straight / L-shape / U-shape / island)
    Cabinet heights and depths
  • Worktop material and thickness
  • Backsplash type and height
  • Integrated vs freestanding appliances
  • Lighting type (spots, under-cabinet, pendants)

A clear and detailed scope of works allows us to plan properly, coordinate trades efficiently, and price transparently.

What a Full Kitchen Renovation Includes

Our full kitchen renovation service typically covers:

  • Demolition of the existing kitchen and finishes
  • Removal or relocation of plumbing and electrics
